What Are the Raynaud's Disease Gloves For?

You may be thinking that this question is a little self-explanatory. Well, as you have probably guessed they are designed to prevent Raynaud's attacks or help your hands recover from Raynaud's attacks by helping your hands to retain body heat while enabling full dexterity. Their fingerless design enables you to keep on working in the cold while improving your blood flow, therefore reducing the risk of an episode.

Can the Raynaud's Fingerless Gloves Help with My Condition?

It isn't just those with Raynaud's who suffer in the cold, and people with a wide range of conditions can benefit from keeping their hands warm. This includes users who suffer from the following:

  • Raynaud's disease
  • Diabetes
  • Infections
  • Nerve damage
  • Finger ulcers
  • Chemotherapy
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Scleroderma

As these gloves are lightweight, they can be worn as liners with outdoor gloves. If you simply require a pair of gloves to fight the cold, they can also be worn on their own.

How Do I Know That the Fingerless Gloves Work?

If you take a look at the reviews at the bottom of the page, you'll see that these gloves have helped people who have suffered from Raynaud's for all of their lives. These really are fantastic gloves, proving time and time again to help people who suffer from the cold live easier come winter. Technically, these gloves use silver fibre, that has the unique properties of keeping body heat in and preventing cold air from passing through,

Our Top Tip for Silver Gloves

To get the most out of your Silver Gloves, our product experts strongly recommend heating your hands before you put your gloves on. Hands that are already warm help the silver inside trap and reflect even more heat, ensuring your hands stay warm and toasty when you're out and about!

Do They Still Retain Heat Despite Their Fingerless Design?

We understand that thin fingerless gloves don't exactly look warming, but they are. The benefit in their open fingers is to enable dexterity and sensitivity, something that other full gloves lack. As the gloves cover the palms (the most important part of your hand with regards to heat), blood circulation is kept moving and therefore warm blood will continue through to your fingertips.

What is the Benefit of Silver?

These gloves contain 8% silver fibre, meaning that they keep your hands warmer while warding off the onset of Raynaud's disease. Silver works by reflecting 95% of body heat back into the skin, meaning that your hands stay warmer for longer. Silver has one of the lowest heat loss rates around, meaning that these gloves will keep your hands warmer for far longer than conventional thermal gloves.

How Much Dexterity and Sensitivity Do They Offer?

They are designed to offer superb dexterity and sensitivity with their flexible elasthane and cotton lining. They couldn't offer more sensitivity with their open fingers ensuring skin to material contact when handling items. However the lining is thin too, meaning that your dexterity is not compromised even when completing highly tactile tasks such as typing.

Raynaud's Disease Fingerless Silver Gloves
Perfect for office work: their fingerless design enables typing

These features allow the glove to shape perfectly to the wrist, hand and fingers. This helps provide medical benefits and natural healing, all of which can help ease any suffering and pain while keeping your hands warm without restricting movement.

How Comfortable Are the Fingerless Silver Gloves?

The Fingerless Gloves are designed with a blend of natural silver fibres and cotton, which means a high level of comfort for the user which enables use throughout the day. Furthermore they use a seamless design which means that the gloves stretch and flex with the natural movement of your hand, ideal for reducing hand fatigue.

Can I Wear Them Through the Night?

Some people suffer from Raynaud's attacks and extremely cold hands throughout the night. If you want to save money on heating and don't want to use any heated packs, the Raynaud's Fingerless Gloves are ideal for keeping your hands toasty and warm while you are asleep. They promise to reduce pain and increase hand temperature by the time you wake up the following morning.

Do the Raynaud's Gloves Protect My Wrist?

Their flexible knitted wrists ensure that it's not just your hands that are protected. If the arms of your jacket or sweater don't quite reach your hands, then the wrist protection that these gloves offer ensure that there will not be any bare skin exposed to the cold.

How Hygienic Are the Fingerless Gloves?

If you're wearing these gloves all of the time including in bed, then you may be a little concerned about how hygienic they are to wear. They are designed with anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties on your skin that help to reduce perspiration and prevent the spread of bacteria. This overall helps to improve your hygiene during use, perfect for using the gloves from morning until evening.

Can I Wash the Raynaud's Fingerless Gloves?

The Raynaud's Disease Fingerless Silver Gloves can be hand washed at up to 30°C. It is advised that you air dry these gloves away from sources of heat.

What Are the Raynaud's Disease Gloves Made From?

The Raynaud's Disease Fingerless Gloves are manufactured from the following materials:

  • Cotton (88%)
  • Natural silver fibre (8%)
  • Polyamide (3%)
  • Elasthane (1%)

Will the Materials Irritate My Skin?

The gloves are totally pollutant free, ensuring that your hands will stay safe and clean. Furthermore they are designed without the use of latex and contaminants, meaning that the chance of your skin becoming irritated is reduced.

Can I Sleep in the Raynaud's Gloves?

If you suffer from Raynaud's disease during the night, one solution can be to wear Raynaud's Silver Gloves to bed. While unorthodox, this can help to increase your levels of comfort and warmth to improve your overall sleep quality.

Excellent product
16 March 2024  |  Andrew

I bought these for my wife who previously had a pair before misplacing them. The gloves are very effective even though they a fingerless. My wife said they really do make a difference in keeping her hands warm while also ensuring they are pain free. Excellent product and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Rather disappointing
07 March 2024  |  Diana

I was very pleased to receive the parcel and put the gloves on immediately. The gloves could be longer in the wrist and fingers to help prevent heat loss. This year, I have had chilblains on my hands, one of which has an ulcer. The bandage prevents me from wearing the left hand glove.

Practical gloves
20 January 2024  |  William

These fingerless gloves are relatively thin, and less able to retain heat for the fingers compared to say woollen gloves. But they are very good/better for things like typing that require quite precise use of the hands and fingers.

Gloves didn't look well made
18 January 2024  |  Barbara

I was expecting something that were well made\finished. I was quite disappointed. There were loose threads, awkward looking areas between fingers.

Great but...
12 January 2024  |  Victoria

My goodness these little gloves make such a difference! I have been wearing them fairly solidly since receiving them and despite the huge drop in temperature this week I have not had any numbness like before.
My only gripes are that they are rather short so I get a chilly wrist (even pulling my jumper sleeves down to almost thumb level, there's still a gap for a draft). The other is that within the first hour of wearing them I noticed little loose threads appearing round the finger holes. I'm not sure how long they'll last before getting tatty - but when they are, they will just be worn at home or under other gloves (such as gardening gloves).
I will certainly buy more when needed.

Excellent service the gloves came within days. I suffer with extremely cold hands but with my new gloves on my hands feel like they are glowing with heat and they are great being fingerless as it allows you to do certain things without being restricted.I would certainly recommend these and placing another order soon.
