Raynaud's Disease Deluxe Silver Gloves

The Raynaud's Disease Deluxe Silver Gloves (sometimes called Raynaud's syndrome gloves or Raynaud's phenomenon gloves) harness the power of silver thread to retain heat, making them ideal if you suffer from Raynaud's disease or if you're generally more sensitive to the cold. They're also great as gloves for poor circulation, and they can even be worn as glove liners for cold weather, improving the efficacy of both your silver gloves and your regular gloves.

The Deluxe Silver Gloves contain 12% silver thread. They are therefore more lightweight than the Raynaud's Disease Silver Gloves, which contain 8% silver thread.

Who Can Wear the Raynaud's Gloves?

The Raynaud's Disease Deluxe Gloves are ideal if you suffer from Raynaud's disease. However, they are also useful for a range of other indications. You may benefit from wearing the silver-lined gloves if you suffer from any of the following conditions:

  • Autoimmune disease
  • Blood disorders
  • Chemotherapy treatment
  • Diabetes
  • Immune system disorders
  • Infections
  • Finger ulcers
  • Nerve damage
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Poor circulation
  • Raynaud's Disease (primary Raynaud's disease, secondary Raynaud's disease)
  • Scleroderma
  • Vascular disease

Please note that while the silver gloves are suitable for the above conditions, they are not available for VAT relief due to not being designed specifically for medical use.

How Do the Raynaud's Silver Gloves Work?

The seamless Raynaud's Disease Silver Gloves contain 12% silver, 50% more than its 8% Raunaud's Silver Gloves counterpart, converting more of the naturally occurring thermo energy of the human body in to gently warming far infrared (FIR) heat. The textile fibres in the gloves are also much better controlled so that the majority of the silver thread is woven inside the gloves and rests directly against the skin, making them even more effective.

Additionally, the silver gloves for Raynaud's also help with numbness, tingling and pain that commonly occurs where there is a constant cold. They have been designed to reduce perspiration and also have an antimicrobial fabric, making them more hygienic when compared to some of the other best gloves for cold hands. While there is no cure for Raynaud's disease, the Raynaud's treatment gloves can help you to better manage your condition, and they also help to dissipate and stop static charges to prevent sharp shocks caused by a build-up of static electricity.

Which Size of Gloves for Raynaud's Disease Do I Need?

To determine the right size for you, measure the length of your hand from base to the tip of your middle finger and the width of your palm (excluding your thumb) before referring to the table below. The measurements in the table below are taken when a glove is unstretched and laid flat.

As the gloves are made with a highly stretchable material, either size will comfortably stretch to fit hands near the sizing boundary.

Size Length Palm Width
Extra Small 198mm 95mm
Small/Medium 215mm 99mm
Large/Extra Large 216mm 102mm

Will the Raynaud's Gloves Work with a Touchscreen?

Yes, due to the conductive nature of silver fibre, these gloves will work with the majority of touchscreen devices. This allows you to use your phone and answer calls, all while keeping your hands toasty and warm! Please note that a small number of customers report difficulty using certain types of touchscreen devices while wearing these gloves.

Can I Benefit from Gloves for Raynaud's Syndrome?

If you've only recently heard of Raynaud's disease, you're not alone. Many people people who suffer from Raynaud's symptoms often go undiagnosed for a long time, and as such are unaware of the benefits that silver gloves could have for their hands.

Raynaud's disease is a distressing condition in which the blood is temporarily prevented from reaching the fingers and toes. In its most severe form it is very painful and in secondary Raynaud's ulcerations may occur that could become gangrenous and lead to amputation. If you suffer from symptoms of Raynaud's disease, we'd recommend consulting your doctor for a diagnosis, and in the meantime it's definitely worth investing in a pair of silver gloves for Raynaud's sufferers.

What Do The Silver Gloves Feel Like to Wear?

The Raynaud's Silver Gloves are made from fine combed cotton and pure natural silver, making them soft and comfortable gloves for Raynaud's sufferers. As they shape to your hands, wrists, and fingers with ease, they allow you to keep your hands feeling warm without compromise to your dexterity.  The cosy cuffs have a finish that protects the integrity of the gloves so you can wear them in comfort time and time again.

Will the Raynaud's Gloves Work with a Touchscreen?

Yes, due to the conductive nature of silver fibre, these gloves will work well with a touchscreen device. This allows you to use your phone and answer calls, all while keeping your hands toasty and warm!

Can I Drive in The Silver Gloves?

The Raynaud's Silver Gloves can be worn while driving. We would, however, recommend ensuring that you are comfortable before using the gloves for this purpose.

Are These Good Typing Gloves?

As the silver gloves conform to your hands well and don't reduce your dexterity, they're perfectly fine as typing gloves for cold hands. If you do find that typing while wearing gloves is uncomfortable, then the Raynaud's Disease Fingerless Silver Gloves may be a better choice.

Are These the Warmest Gloves for Raynaud's Disease?

If you're looking for ways of how to keep hands warm, then it's natural that you'll want the best thermal gloves around. As the silver gloves retain and reflect the natural heat of your hands, these provide as much warmth as your hands! Therefore, we recommend warming up your hands before you put the gloves on. This can be done before you leave the house, or even when you're out and about with pocket-sized electronic heat such as the Double-Sided HotRox.

Can These Be Worn As Scleroderma Gloves?

While we consider the silver gloves to be one of the best gloves for Raynaud's disease, they can also be worn as scleroderma gloves. Scleroderma is a disease affecting the connective tissue, causing hard skin and also affecting internal organs.

As a result of the impact on internal organs, blood supply may become damaged. While the silver gloves would not provide a cure, wearing them for scleroderma will help to encourage blood flow in the hands, which in turn helps to improve natural warmth.

Can I Wear These As Peripheral Neuropathy Gloves?

Peripheral neuropathy to the hands and fingers can be caused by a variety of precipitating factors, including chemotherapy treatment, diabetes, and infections where the pain of nerve damage and finger ulcers can affect both genders of all ages. As sufferers are greatly hindered by persistent cold weather, the silver Raynaud's gloves can be worn as peripheral neuropathy gloves for improved hand heat retention.

Can I Wear These As Lupus Gloves?

Many individuals with lupus develop secondary Raynaud's disease as a result of inflamed nerves or blood vessels. As a result, the Raynaud's gloves may help to reduce such symptoms for individuals with lupus, making them suitable as lupus gloves when a Raynaud's attack has been triggered.

Can These Be Worn As Rheumatoid Arthritis Gloves?

The silver gloves can be worn as rheumatoid arthritis gloves in cases where the condition has triggered a Raynaud's attack. However, for more supportive thermal gloves for arthritis, we recommend the Thermoskin Arthritis Gloves, which help to boost circulation while offering gentle compression to ease pain.

Can I Wear These as Gloves for White Finger?

White finger, also known as vibration white finger (VWF) or hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), occurs following continuous use of vibration equipment. The symptoms for this form of secondary Raynaud's can be reduced with the silver gloves, but for ongoing management we recommend the Raynaud's Disease Anti-Vibration Gloves for Vibration White Finger.

Can I Sleep in the Raynaud's Gloves?

If you suffer from Raynaud's disease during the night, one solution can be to wear Raynaud's Silver Gloves to bed. While unorthodox, this can help to increase your levels of comfort and warmth to improve your overall sleep quality.

How Do I Wash the Silver Gloves?

The Raynaud's Deluxe Silver Gloves can be hand washed at temperatures of up to 30°C. They can then be air dried away from sources of heat.

Please note that the gloves are not suitable for washing with detergents or for ironing.

excellent wear all the time

Have secondary Raynaud's and none of the medications work but make nails rot off, fingers ulcerate and kidney function dip . Next winter it will need to be infusions, last resort. Have always worn gloves to keep hands warm, but these are so very good. Wear them all the time and symptoms subside, so feel far more comfortable only sorry I didn't discover them in 2020! They are comfortable and wonderful. I used the grey ones with less silver content before, but they get so grubby, these I would recommend to all sufferers of Raynaud's.

Not for small hands
Wednesday, 30 March 2022  |  Harley

I ordered XS because I have small hands. To be frank, I don't have freakishly small hands and these were way too big. The wrist cuff is really baggy and the gloves themselves are kinda loose and the fingers too long. They're also kinda itchy? I did check the size chart and I knew the XS would probably be too big but in lieu of other options I thought I'd give them a try.

I bought these because my ADHD medication has made my cold hands and feet much worse and for 30 I expected my hands to feel toasty. They work a tiny bit in that I have slight more mobility in my fingers but trying to work my hands are still cold to the point of being almost painful.

These don't seem to work much better than just some cheap cotton gloves I bought initially.

The itchiness and the loose cuffs tickling my wrist is very distracting which with my issues I really didn't need additional distractions.

I'm going to keep trying them for a few more days as I told my friend who suffers badly with Raynauds that I'd try them and feed back to her before she buys them and I want to give them a fair go but so far I wouldn't recommend them as she has similar sized hands to me.

I'm going to put my cottom gloves underneath to see if that helps but it seems a little crazy to need to line these gloves considering they themselves are supposed to be able to be used as liners?

For info my hand length is 16.5cm and width is about 7.5cmish

Response:

Hi Harley,

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review with us. We really appreciate it.

With regards to how Silver Gloves and Silver Garments work, it is vital that your hands are warm before putting your gloves on. Silver woven fabric works to insulate and trap heat better than a standard glove, meaning it will prevent your natural body heat from leaving the glove. They are not specifically designed to warm up your hands or generate additional heat.

We recommend warming your hands under a warm tap until your hands are nice and warm. When your hands are dry, apply your gloves and notice how the amount of heat lost is drastically less than with an alternative pair.

We hope you find this information helpful and can get the most out of your silver gloves in the future.

Kind regards,

Seth at RaynaudsDisease.com

Excellent

I have suffered with cold fingers for a while - going white even when not very cold outside. These gloves have worked very well since my purchase - I wear them under other gloves, but even on their own, I sense that I can 'feel' the warmth.
Excellent delivery times too.

Bought as a gift for my father-in-law. Hes only tried them a couple of times so far but he is pleased with their efficiency so far. Hes wearing them under leather gloves for driving and minimise the winter weather outside. But so far, hes pleased with them.

The gloves definitely improved my husband's discolouration on his fingers. He wears them underneath thermal mittens as added protection although I was rather looking forward to watching him go out wearing them alone. A tad Michael Jackson perhaps 😁

So pleased with these
Monday, 7 March 2022  |  Jeanie

I bought a pair of these deluxe silver lined gloves for both of my grown up children. They have both said that they are so pleased with them, and that they are really effective in keeping their hands warm. My daughter also wore them as glove liners when she went skiing.

Silver deluxe gloves
Monday, 7 March 2022  |  Liesa

I am disappointed with the thinness of these gloves and how easy it is to pull the silver thread, they do help with the circulation but I have to use them as a base layer. I would like to see them as a lining to a glove so they are easier to get in and off and then the silver wouldnt get pulled

These gloves work brilliantly with my iPhone, however, they made no impact once it got cold outside. Overall not fit for the purpose they were purchased.
